ADLP 7504 Innovation through Problem-Solving

This course provides a strategic perspective on the management of innovation. It adopts the perspective of the general manager an individual charged with diagnosing complex situations and resolving them in ways that enhance organizational performance and create new value. The course focuses on three broad and interrelated questions: what problems should managers choose to solve, how should managers assemble and organize the knowledge resources needed to solve problems, and how can managers capture value from discovered solutions? The course provides methods for discovering valuable innovations and analyzing the extent to which managers can capture value from innovations.
