ADSA 8015 Sports Analytics

Sports analytics is a rapidly evolving industry with careers in professional and amateur organizations, in the media, in supporting tech/agency companies, and elsewhere. Students will expand their critical thinking skills and explore the current state of sports analytics with a focus on business operations. Students will hear from industry professionals, summarize data creatively, improve data-based decision-making, optimize metric outputs, and improve presentation skills. Most importantly, students will think critically about real-world problems, where there isnt one correct solution and where there are many valid approaches.
