BIOL 1060 Gateway to Biomedical Research
Available only to participants in the Gateway Scholars for STEM program. The goal of this course is to help students determine whether they want to be involved in inquiry-based research during their time at Boston College and provide them with the skills to obtain such a position. During the first half of the semester each class period is a discussion centered on how to approach their courses as scientists and how to build their resumes to conduct research. During the second half of the semester students are exposed to the variety of research programs at Boston College as several Biology faculty share their paths in science and their current research passions.
