BIOL 4260 Human Anatomy with Lab
This course provides an intermediate level comprehensive study of the structure of the human body, emphasizing the relationships among tissues, organs, and organ systems. The lecture component introduces foundational anatomical terminology, structural organization, and the functional significance of major systems, including the skeletal, muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems. Clinical and some developmental correlations are integrated throughout to highlight applications in health, disease, and human movement. The Laboratory component includes an introductory study of histology and weekly system by system, hands-on dissections using the cat as our main model system along with various other preserved specimens. Prerequisite: BIOL2000 Molecules and Cells
