Positive Health Sciences in Communication and Relationships
This course may be used to satisfy one of four electives required within the Communication major. This course addresses movement toward human thriving through the emerging field of Positive Health Sciences, which is an approach to health and well-being which, while recognizing the importance of factors that drive disease and illness, especially focuses on the processes that underpin optimal health and well-being. The course includes a particular focus on the role of communication and relationships as processes to facilitate positive health and well-being. We also focus on the development and communication of concepts, interventions, and policies that enhance fairness and equity.
