ECON3397
Macroeconomics of Inequality
This course offers an introduction to the analysis of economic inequality in macroeconomics, with a particular emphasis on the role of technology, including recent developments in AI. We will first consider the forces determining inequality across countries, then turn to inequality across individuals within a country. To examine these topics rigorously, the course makes extensive use of both mathematical and empirical tools, so proficiency in algebra and calculus as well as econometrics is quintessential.
