ENGR3112
Advanced Engineering Foundations: Thermodynamics
This course will cover the first and second laws of thermodynamics and apply them to closed and open systems. Topics include mass and energy conservation; cycles, including various types of power, refrigeration, and heat pump cycles; entropy; enthalpy; material property estimation for pure components and mixture; and phase equlibria. Course will include engineering applications of thermodynamics in energy, the environment, and health.
