Writing for Broadcast

Note to Journalism minors: this course satisfies the requirement for an elective with a craft" orientation." This course introduces students to a broad sampling of writing across media platforms, including traditional broadcast, video, audio, and more. Areas of focus will include news, sports, documentaries, commercials and public service announcements, educational television, and writing for specialized audiences. Students will learn how strong script-writing is the foundation for strong storytelling in any medium. Note: This course was formerly titled "Writing, Sight & Sound".
