MESA 8400 Data Science Speaker Series

This required, zero-credit speaker series is a community event that brings M.S. Data Science students into regular conversation with practitioners, researchers, and leaders who work across the full landscape of data science. Each session highlights a different facet of data science, from technical innovation to ethical deployment to career pathways, and gives students a chance to connect classroom learning with real-world practice. Students are expected to attend each session or, if they cannot join live, submit a brief reflection vlog. The series aims to help students explore different areas of the field, begin developing a professional network, and learn new skills or ideas that complement their coursework.
