Hegel's Encyclopedia, Vol. 1: Science of Logic, § 1-83

A close reading and analysis of the three prefacesand the Introduction to the Encyclopedia as a whole, and the "Preliminary Conceptof the Logic". This is probably the best introduction to both the systematicarchitecture of Hegel's systematic project and an important contribution to the clarificationof Hegel's dialectic method. Its thorough appropriation preparesfor the study of theEncyclopediaas a whole.Reading competence in German is not required but will be quite useful.
