Behavioral Neuroendocrinology: Sex, Love, and Aggression

This course is an introduction to the field of behavioral neuroendocrinology, which explores therelationship between hormones, the brain, and behavior, in humans and non-human animals.The course will cover the basics of hormonal systems, including how hormones are synthesizedand released, and how they interact with target cells. We will also explore the role of hormonesin various behaviors, including reproduction, parental behavior, aggression, stress responses,and the role of hormones in affective disorders.
