Multivariate Statistics

Thiscourseassumes knowledge of the material covered in SOCY7702; that is, a solid background in Stata and a relatively recentcoursein basic statistics. Much of thecoursewill deal with multiple linear regression, including topics such as data preparation and transformations, analysis of residuals and outliers, interaction terms, linearity concerns, model fit, and interpretation of results. The course will also introduce logistic regression, mediation and panel data analyses. Thiscoursedoes not require a knowledge of matrix algebra or calculus.
