Tap Dance II

This intermediate-to-advanced course builds upon the foundations of Tap Dance 1 and is designed for students who have completed Tap 1 or have prior tap experience. Not recommended for absolute beginners. This course challenges students to deepen their technical proficiency, rhythmic clarity, and stylistic range.Through advanced technique, historic repertoire, choreography, improvisation, and continued study of tap dance history, students will expand their movement vocabulary and strengthen their cultural literacy. Weekly practice, assignments, and active participation are essential. By the end of the semester, students will demonstrate increased technical precision, artistic confidence, and a more nuanced understanding of tap dance as both performance practice and cultural tradition.
