Musical Theatre Performance

MTP is a multi pronged approach to landing the audition, being a joy in rehearsal and a powerhouse onstage. We will explore embodying the character through personalizing the text and freeing the voice by identifying and working through physical and emotional blocks unique to each student. The human experience is complex and can be held intellectually in memory but is also stored away in the body which has a biography of it's own. These sense memories can be locked away as tension creating physical and emotional blocks to expression. Together we will mine the individuals unique perspective, infuse it into the character, identify, then unravel tension and/or use it to advantage in performance all while building an extensive audition book with all the necessary genres so each actor walks into auditions prepared, confident and ready to work.
