TMPS 7331 Fundamental Ethical Questions in Faith-Based, Nonprofit Management

This four-week, 1-credit module introduces students to a faith-informed framework for ethical leadership and decision-making within faith-based nonprofit organizations. Integrating organizational ethics, moral theology, and Catholic social teaching, the module invites students to discern how values become embodiedor distortedthrough policies, practices, and culture. Topics include power and accountability, financial integrity, equity and justice, and the cultivation of ethical organizational climates. The students will explore how to lead with integrity in the face of complex moral dilemmas. Emphasis is placed on executive leadership as moral discernment in action: fostering trust, transparency, and justice in service of mission. Students are required to join a live, synchronous conversation with an expert on Thursdays as well as meet in small learning communities once a week (by arrangement).
