Biography
Angela Ma is an assistant professor in the Seidner Department of Finance at the Boston College Carroll School of Management. Her research interests are in corporate finance and financial intermediation. Specifically, her work examines the economics of non-bank financial intermediaries and aims to understand why they arise alongside banks in certain markets. Her research has appeared in The Journal of Finance and received coverage from academic and policy-related outlets. She earned her BA in Economics with Computer Science as a secondary field of study and her Ph.D. in business economics from Harvard University.
