Biography

Arup Ganguly is an assistant professor of the practice in the Seidner Department of Finance at the Boston College Carroll School of Management, where he teaches in the full-time MBA and undergraduate programs. Before joining Boston College, he held teaching positions at the University of Toronto, the University of Pittsburgh, and the University of Mississippi. At these institutions, he received several prestigious teaching awards while instructing different finance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ganguly's primary research focuses on empirical corporate finance, and his work has received multiple best-paper awards at various conferences. He holds a Ph.D. in finance from the University of Pittsburgh. Before transitioning to academia, he worked as an associate at Scotia Capital in Canada.
