Biography
Caitlin McManus Vitale, Ph.D., MS, CRNA, is an assistant professor of the practice and associate program director and director of clinical education of the Nurse Anesthesia program at the Connell School of Nursing. She completed her undergraduate, master's, and Ph.D. degrees at Boston College. She is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with experience working in Boston Hospitals as a CRNA. Her research is focused on the impact of social determinants of health on rural health, and how advanced practice nurses can improve health equity among rural populations. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and the Massachusetts Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
