Biography

Erin Sibley is the Director for Research Protections at Boston College. In this role, she oversees the IRB and IACUC, runs the Research Scholarship and Integrity program for doctoral students, and leads Postdoctoral Affairs. As an adjunct faculty member in the Woods College of Advancing Study, her goal is to make data analytics and research methods accessible and exciting for students who find research intimidating. As a developmental psychologist, her research has focused on family-school connections, the educational achievement of children of immigrants, and the impact of immigration status on child and family wellbeing. In her daily work, she enjoys helping researchers at BC navigate the ethical and administrative steps involved in conducting high-quality research that can impact policy and practice.
