Biography

Lauren Wilwerding specializes in nineteenth-century British literature and the novel. Other interests include contemporary literature, pleasure reading, and pedagogy. Lauren received her Ph.D. at Boston College and taught in the first-year writing program at Tufts University, where she was a Center for the Enhancement for Learning and Teaching Faculty Fellow (2021) and Scholar for Authentic and Engaged Learning (2023).  Lauren teaches First-year Writing Seminar, Literature Core, and “All the Single Ladies: Women at the Edge of Culture and History.”
