Biography
Professor Mathieu combines interest in writing activism and mindfulness and contemplative practice to bring about social justice. For over a decade, she worked with the international street newspapers movement, which brings together local publications that provide income and a public voice for homeless people worldwide. She also practices and teaches about mindfulness and contemplative practice. She is a member of the Editorial Board of College Composition and Communications (CCC) and the Studies in Writing and Rhetoric (SWR) book series.
