Biography

A results-driven mathematician with a focus on problem solving, data mining, and developing and implementing predictive models. He has applied his data science expertise in a number of industries, including insurance and health care. Dr. Veliche has lead the investigation, development, and implementation of predictive models, supporting $1B/year claims processing decisions in a $16B personal insurance business unit. He affected $4.5M in management directed online claims processing spend by advising senior leadership on opportunities for improving collection, sourcing, and retention of data. He has co-designed, implemented, and automated life sciences data infrastructure, supporting multiple product initiatives. Dr. Veliche researched and implemented patient-centric data algorithms, including drug mapping (NLP) and care opportunity evolution over time depending on drug regimen. He also led AI and Agent Based Modeling projects.
