Biography
I recently completed my Ph.D. at Boston College with a dissertation on Plotinus's engagement with the Gnostics. My main research interest is ancient philosophy, especially the Platonic tradition, though my studies often wander into medieval thought and its overthrow in the early modern period. Outside of philosophy, I enjoy reading 19th and 20th Century American literature, especially novels and short stories portraying the American Dream. When not reading, I enjoy watching classic 1940s film noir and complaining about the state of Chicago's sports teams.
