Biography

Jon Kerbs's areas of expertise include branding, product management, sales promotion, advertising, marketing strategy, business development, digital marketing, public relations, retail marketing, and product development. In addition to teaching, he consults with organizations seeking to solve go-to-market problems as well as facilitating leadership training for Fortune 500 companies. Before joining Boston College, Professor Kerbs served as an adjunct professor at Babson College for eight years (2004-2011), teaching Brand Management and Business Development in the MBA program. In addition to his teaching experience, Professor Kerbs spent over 25 years in industry. Most recently serving as Director of Product Marketing for Harvard Business Publishing. He has held several senior leadership positions in the packaged goods, retail, higher education, and learning technology sectors. His career spanned assignments from Procter & Gamble and Lens Crafters to entrepreneurial startups. Before his business career, Professor Kerbs spent seven years on active duty in the United States Army serving in key command and staff positions.
