Rules for using Linden Study.

1. Acceptance and eligibility

By using Linden Study, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Notice. The current prototype is intended for people who are at least 18 years old and located in the United States. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

These terms describe the current prototype and must be updated if accounts, public contributions, paid services, or materially different data practices launch.

2. An independent project

Linden Study is an independent project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Boston College.

Linden Study is not an official advising, registration, scheduling, degree-audit, or records system. References to Boston College and BC are descriptive only.

3. Prototype access

The current sign-in gate checks the format of an @bc.edu address. It does not verify control of that address, current enrollment, or Boston College affiliation.

Linden Study will not ask for a BC password, MFA code, Eagle ID, portal cookie, SSO token, authorization header, or Agora session. Users are responsible for activity on their device and for signing out on shared devices.

4. Academic and registration information

Course descriptions, requirement mappings, instructor information, ratings, meeting details, schedules, evaluation cohorts, and future seat information may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable.

A plan or status shown by Linden Study does not establish degree progress, prerequisite eligibility, enrollment priority, or a registered seat. Confirm consequential decisions in official Boston College systems and, where appropriate, with an academic advisor.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not impersonate another person or misstate an affiliation.
• Do not submit passwords, MFA codes, access tokens, session cookies, protected records, or another person's private information.
• Do not bypass authentication, VPN, network, rate, or technical access controls.
• Do not scrape, overload, probe, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to Linden Study or another system.
• Do not upload unlawful, infringing, deceptive, harassing, or privacy-invasive material.
• Do not use displayed data in a way that violates a source's license, terms, or applicable law.

6. User content and moderation

A contributor keeps ownership of original content they submit and grants Linden Study a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, format, display, moderate, and distribute it only as needed to operate and improve the service.

If contribution features launch, Linden Study may label, limit, remove, or preserve content under published community rules and may suspend access for abuse, security risk, repeat infringement, or legal compliance.

7. Third-party services and intellectual property

Links and third-party data remain subject to their owners' terms. Linden Study's name, original interface, and original content may be protected by applicable law.

No Boston College seal, logo, athletics mark, wordmark, or other indicia is licensed through these terms.

8. Availability and warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the current prototype is provided as is and as available. Linden Study does not guarantee uninterrupted operation, degree progress, registration, seat availability, alert delivery, or the accuracy of ratings, summaries, or source data.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so an exclusion applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

9. Changes, termination, and contact

Material changes should be dated and presented with reasonable notice. A user may stop using Linden Study and remove local prototype sign-in data by signing out or clearing browser storage.

Operator identity, legal contact, mailing address, governing-law, dispute-resolution, liability, indemnity, and any arbitration language remain intentionally unfilled until reviewed and completed by the operator with qualified counsel. Linden Study does not invent contact details.
